Lea Garnier, Integrative Sound Practitioner & Bio
1st Sunday of every Month SOUND HEALING AND YOGA WITH LEA GARNIER at SAGE, 6 Deming St. Woodstock, N.Y.
With delicate contact Lea Garnier removes mental, emotional, and physical restrictions in the body, leading to increased mind, body and spiritual healing.
She has a light, non-invasive touch, which assists my own bodies natural ability to balance and heal. Her intuitive insight leaves me feeling more balanced and deeply relaxed after a treatment. Let Lea assist your body towards its own unique wisdom and wholeness.
I recommend Lea to anyone who feels they could benefit from a deep relaxation and renewed balancing of their nervous system. Bonnie E. Josephs, Falls Crossing, Woodstock, NY
Dear Lea, “Thank you for the astonishing session! I had wanted to wait a few days to see how it layered in. The changes and harmony are wonderful, even an added lilt of joy. The session did dispel my wavy head and headache sensations. I am aware that my mode of work will bring back some of these patterns as I go but am grateful to know things I can do about it. I shall surely see you some more.”
With affectionate wishes, Sara, Woodstock, NY
Lea’s wise touch and mastery of craniosacral therapy literally hits my reset button. It aligns and balances my physical body, quiets my monkey mind, and invigorates my spirit. It is an essential part of my health care.

I’ve been receiving monthly craniosacral sessions from Lea for over a year and I can’t recommend her enough! She is an intuitive, powerful healer. She always knows how to get to the heart of what is ailing me.
Her sessions bring me back to balance and peace. My spine and over all health has increased dramatically since our sessions started. She’ll often combine sound healing and other techniques during the session, all depending on what I need for an amazing overall experience.

“ highly recommend the work Lea does, so therapeutic, special and spiritual. Hope Jinishian, Woodstock, NY
Dear Lea, can I tell you… I have been waking up the past year with fogginess and tension in my temples. Since our session I feel such a relief, better sleep and bright when waking. I felt a release on the right side in our session, so that must have been what happened. I forget what you called it….

About the practitioner:
Lea Garnier has worked in the healing arts for over 20 years and is an accomplished practitioner in this field. She began her healing journey by making healing paintings that have been displayed, sold and published in Europe and New York State. Lea found Craniosacral Therapy in NYC after suffering neck and back injuries sustained in an auto accident. The relief she found from this work was so profound she momentarily put down her painting brushes to pursue training.
She now has more than 15 years experience as an Upledger trained Craniosacral Therapist and has a private practice atSage Center for the Healing Arts in Woodstock, NY, a center she co-founded in 2007, and co-directs with her husband Philippe Garnier. http://www.sagehealingcenter.org
In 2008 she became a certified yoga instructor trained in the Desikachar linage, and specializes in teaching the integration of sound healing and sound awareness (nada) with gentleasana in a yoga class setting. A safe and fun environment is created which integrates the sacred sound medicine of crystal singing bowls, gongs, mantra and traditional instruments from various indigenous cultures. She teaches the 1st Sunday of every month from 2 to 3:30pm.
Part of her life’s journey led her to profound studies in the shamanic arts which inspired her ongoing interest in therapeutic sound for healing, and which led to the organization of one of the first comprehensive sound healing retreats in the northeast. In 2010 she co-founded and continues to co-organize the Annual Sound Healing Retreat Intensive and the Annual Sound of Yoga Retreat which takes place at Menla Mountain Retreat Center, and caters to an international audience of practitioners working in the healing arts. These retreats where created to give the pioneers of sound a platform in which to share years and years of experience in a field which at the time gave little recognition to this modality.
Lea has been offering group sound baths for years and collaborates with her husband Philippe Garnier and astrologer Beth Ylvisaker at their center, the greater NY area and abroad. Lea is available for private ceremony work, weddings and death passages. She is currently working on a CD of healing mantras, icaros and sacred sound. Her teachers are many, and she is grateful for the opportunity to share the knowledge ascribed to her over the years within the art forms she continues to study passionately!
